Increased mountaineering showed a triumph of Nepal  over quake-battered  tourism. After the disastrous hit by earthquake, Nepal has gone through miserable conditions especially the tourism sector. Many all-time busy  tourism spot was transformed into like a  cold  silent cemetery in no second. Though there was heavy demand of flights to lukla for mountaineering and due to this reason the domestic flights were disrupted at lukla (Tenzing Hillary) airport. This year  since march there were 90 flights per day in average which got highest upto 105 on 16th of april during mountaineering season ( march to may) [information given by Lokendra Kunwar, manager at the lukla airport]. Around 40 expedition teams consisting about 375 climbers were conquering the world’s highest peak.

Unfortunately, there were no mountaineering expedition in the spring of 2015 after avalanche break down with earthquakes too.  But hopefully this year Mt. Everest expedition has contributed a lot to revive the scar provided by earthquake to our nation. Also Expedition Operators Association of Nepal (EOAN) has renovated the rope fixing, better weather forecast and many other required task for the convenient expedition to all the travelers from across the world.
