Pikey Peak Trekking

Trip Overview

Pikey Peak trek is the newly opened trekking destinations in Solukhumbu Region. Pikey peak is a one of the tallest" Hills" in the Solu. The name Pikey is derived from the name of a Sherpa Clan deity. During the month of July the locals hold different celebrations to worship their clan god. This peak offers a majestic view of the Everest Himalayan Range and Numbur Chuli. The trail passes through beautiful settlements and you can visit the ancient Buddhist Monastery of Thupten Chholing and enjoy the unique Sherpa culture. Accommodations

In Kathmandu, we will have a 3-star hotel room which will be shared in a twin-share basis and will have a supplement of breakfast alongside. The rooms will have attached bathrooms and will have all the facilities that will at least help you have a semi-urban experience judging from where you come. But, during the trek, we will have to forfeit the luxury of a 3-star hotel in the pursuit of what nature has in store for us and travel through the wildlands in local teahouses, which will be very comforting as well but just not luxurious enough in terms of the facilities provided.
Meals
We can have a myriad a local and international cuisines to choose from during the trek though the list of meals will not be as elaborate as you might think, but still we do have options and they surely do taste awesome. We are very careful for providing you with food that is both hygienic and heavy for sustaining your energy throughout the trek. All kinds of meal fall under the package costs during the trek except for when you stay in Kathmandu where we will only be able to offer the breakfast. And, we will also end our lovely soulful trekking experience with a lovely farewell dinner at the end of our trek in Kathmandu.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Though it might seem very daunting in the face of it, but we are pretty sure an average human being with average walking capability will be able to complete the trek with no trouble. Our guides are very supportive in terms of your walking abilities during the trek and if needed, s/he will change the entire trek stuructre for you as well. (But, that will come alongside its own repercussions, like longer trekking days). Walking in higher altitude will surely be more tiresome than in lower altitude but the transition between the two will be as smooth as possible. We do recommend to consult with your personal doctor before making the trip though just to make sure.   consult your doctor(s) before the trip.

Best Time to Travel

The best seasons for the trek would be Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). Though we are perfectly willing to guide you through in this trek in anytime of the year that you find feasible, these are just suitable months.

Trip Start Dates and Cost

We have a perfectly customisable trip flexibilty depending upon your preferred dates.

 Additional Information
We will be more than happy to discuss whatever aspects you find confusing in mail or directly in phone if you prefer.
Visa Information

Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport of Nepal. Immigration Office, TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport) under Department of Immigration has been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing Visa on Arrival. 'On Arrival' visa procedure is very quick and simple. You can expect some queues during peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad prior to your arrival. Choice is yours.
If you have obtained visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions, then you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter into Nepal.

Visas obtained on Arrival at the Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'.  They bear multiple Re entry facility. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for the purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country.  However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.
Nationals of designated countries are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their nearby Diplomatic missions (Embassies/consulates) of Nepal Government.
Please follow these simple procedures for Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA)  if you have not acquired Visa prior to boarding the plane.
