Its 10 national parks, three wildlife reserves, six conservations areas and one hunting reserve cover various geographical locations from the sub-tropical Terai jungles to the arctic Himalayan region. Lonely Planet crowns Nepal as world’s ‘best value destination’ for 2017 Ranks 5th in ‘top 10 countries to visit’

Oct 25, 2016- Nepal has been named on top ‘Best Value Destination’ and 5th on the top 10 countries in the world to visit in 2017, according to Lonely Planet’s annual Best in Travel list released on Tuesday. Nepal is the only destination in South Asia that has been featured in Lonely Planet's Top Ten Destinations Guidebook.

Isolated region you must visit

I regret that even though I had dedicated about half of my life(20 years)to tourism but I have not been able to guide my tourist in my own village. We are going to promote tourism in the local area of Okhaldunga district such as Bhigutaar sherpa village, Shelpley water fall , patle village, pK peak which is rich in natural resources, cultural diversity which is really isolated by Nepalese tourism. But the locals of that area have high expectations towards the tourism sector.

104 new peaks opened for commercial climbing

The government has opened 104 new peaks, including a new eight-thousand mountain– Mt Yalunga Kang (8077m), or Kanchanjunga West for commercial expedition. The government has already begun the process to give international recognition to the new 8,000-meter peak i.e. Mt. Yalunga Kang.
